Shrewsbury Town FC has unveiled permanent banners honouring three club legends outside the Croud Meadow as part of the club's 140th anniversary celebrations. Jake King, Mickey Brown and Mal Starkey have been added to the display, joining existing banners for Graham Turner, Alf Wood, Ken Mulhearn and Arthur Rowley.
Fan Vote Decides Latest Honourees
The three new legends were selected through a fan vote. Jake King topped the ballot when voting closed, followed by Mickey Brown. Mal Starkey was also recognised for his outstanding contribution to the club, both on and off the pitch.
Anniversary Project Continues
The banners form part of a wider series of initiatives marking Shrewsbury Town's 140th anniversary season, celebrating the history and people who have played an important role in the club's story. One more name will be revealed as part of the project, with further details to be announced in due course.
