Shrewsbury Town FC has unveiled the latest phase of its 140th anniversary celebrations at the Croud Meadow, with large-scale stadium graphics now in place and supporters invited to choose the next club legend to be honoured with a permanent banner.
Giant corner graphics have been installed in the apex of each stand, designed to celebrate the club's rich history and strengthen the stadium's identity on matchday. Every design was chosen by supporters through a fan vote, with the majority of the graphics now installed. Fans attending the club's recent Open Day were among the first to see the new additions.
Heritage-Themed Block Signage
All block number signage throughout the Croud Meadow has been transformed as part of the improvements. The previous white signs have been replaced with designs inspired by some of the most iconic shirts in Shrewsbury Town's history, bringing another touch of the club's heritage to the stadium.
Vote for the Next Legend
The next phase of the anniversary project will see another Shrewsbury Town legend honoured with a permanent banner outside the Croud Meadow. Current club greats Graham Turner, Alf Wood, Ken Mulhearn and Arthur Rowley are already immortalised outside the stadium.
Supporters can cast their vote now to decide who will join them. The candidates are: Mickey Brown (1986–91, 1992–94, 1996–2001), Jake King (Player: 1971–82 | Manager: 1997–99), Shaun Whalley (2015–2022), Colin Robinson (1982–88), Dean Spink (1990–97, 1999), Tommy Lynch (1990–96), Bernard McNally (1980–89), Chic Bates (Player: 1974–77 & 1980–86 | Manager: 1984–87, 1999 & 2004), and Paul Edwards (1992–2001).
