Shrewsbury Town FC has launched a live audio commentary service on its website, allowing supporters who cannot attend matches to follow the action in real time. The service costs £2.50 for a single match pass and streams directly through shrewsburytown.com.
The first fixture available is the Carabao Cup first-round tie at Salford City's AIG Stadium on Saturday 8 August at 3 pm. Commentary will be available as audio only for this match, accessible on phones, tablets and computers via the club's website.
How to access the service
Supporters need to create an account on shrewsburytown.com and register with an email address. After confirming the email, they can visit shrewsburytown.com/watch to buy a match pass for £2.50 and pay by card. The pass appears immediately in their account.
The "Listen live" button unlocks at 2.50 pm, ten minutes before kick-off. The button is accessible on the Watch page, the fixtures page and in My Account.
Key details
The £2.50 pass covers one fixture only and is not a subscription — it will not renew automatically. Commentary is available only while the match is on; there is no catch-up or replay afterwards.
For overseas supporters outside the UK, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey, video coverage is available for League Two fixtures at £10 per match, £25 per month or £140 for the season. Cup ties, including Saturday's Carabao Cup match, are available as audio for all viewers.
The service has been built into the club's website in partnership with StreamAMG and Shoothill. Shrewsbury Town will confirm further streamed fixtures during the season as broadcast rights allow. For support issues, supporters should email shrewsburysupport@streamamg.com.
