Shrewsbury Town FC has paid tribute to Martin Wild, a member of the club's media team who passed away suddenly on Tuesday, 6 October.
Martin was a familiar figure in local football and journalism. He worked in Shrewsbury Town's media team and also served as media manager at Whitchurch Alport Football Club, where he was a long-standing and valued member. He contributed to matchday programmes for both clubs and was a long-term contributor to the Whitchurch Herald.
In a statement, Shrewsbury Town FC said Martin's contribution to football and the local media was significant, and that he would be fondly remembered by those who had worked alongside him.
The club has sent sincere condolences to Martin's wife Jeanette, his family, and his friends.
